Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Apollo (ranked 2813 p4p, 4193 weight class) and Uncle Pops (ranked 231 p4p, 324 weight class). Apollo comes to the cage accompanied by Circus - Britney Spears. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pops swings for the body but Apollo moves out of range.

Apollo gets a double leg takedown into Pops's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Apollo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pops is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Apollo is controlling him.
Pops keeping full guard, as Apollo tries to pass.

Apollo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Apollo drops back looking for a leg! Pops is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pops manages to kick Apollo off! Apollo jumps back into Pops's guard.
Pops trying to keep a closed guard but Apollo is proving a slippery customer.

Apollo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pops is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pops has escaped and now he's on top!

Pops tries to free his leg and advance position but Apollo is retaining full guard.

Apollo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Apollo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Pops has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Apollo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pops is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Apollo pulls down on the head and he's put Pops to sleep! This one is all over!
