The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. White Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Judge (0) vs (4) White Jr Judge wants to control but White Jr postures up. White Jr tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. White Jr working away. White Jr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Judge is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Judge manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. White Jr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. White Jr is working for a kimura but Judge is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White Jr is looking for a kimura but Judge is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for White Jr to get the leverage. Judge is trying to get back to full guard. Judge has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Judge trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Judge moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. White Jr looking to pass the guard. Judge looking for a sweep. Not yet Judge, not yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Judge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. White Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and White Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. White Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Judge is retaining full guard. Judge pushes a forearm under White Jr's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, White Jr is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
