PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Un Kha (ranked 4044 p4p, 2902 weight class) and Michael Fraiberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kha comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Un Kha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Fraiberg!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kha dives in and grabs Fraiberg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fraiberg pushes down on Kha's head and hops out.

Fraiberg has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fraiberg lands a right hand.
Fraiberg has Kha pushed against the cage.
Fraiberg content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Fraiberg's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fraiberg's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The referee calls for Fraiberg to work.
Come on Fraiberg - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kha is working for takedown but Fraiberg is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fraiberg's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kha has been working on his balance at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Fraiberg.
Kha is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fraiberg pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Un Kha. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fraiberg is pressed up against the cage. Kha has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fraiberg down to the mat. Fraiberg avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fraiberg connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kha's face.

Fraiberg digs a right hand into Kha's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kha's gas tank.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fraiberg creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Michael Fraiberg seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

That's time! Kha's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
