Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, przemas michal!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox misses with a body kick.
Knox swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by michal.
It looks like przemas michal has been cut.
Knox lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
przemas michal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knox rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but michal moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knox stuffs the takedown attempt from michal. michal gets slowly back to his feet.
Knox drops michal with a left right combo! Knox follows him down to the ground into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The strikes coming from Knox are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
michal parries the strikes from Knox easily there. Knox is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable michal to escape.
Knox wants to control but michal is keeping him busy.
Knox is really struggling to control michal but he's trying to hold on to the position.
michal is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Knox throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Knox cracks michal with a big right hand but michal just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
michal is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Knox content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Knox wants to pass the guard but michal is defending well.
Knox working over michal with some ground and pound. michal looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
michal is refusing to be controlled, as Knox sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knox throwing shots but michal is blocking nicely.
michal is not content to let Knox control the position.

michal moves into full guard.
michal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Knox seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

michal not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Knox passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Knox looking to control but instead michal has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
michal wants to get back to full guard.
michal is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Knox scores with a couple of nice shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knox looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks michal with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
michal wants to control but Knox is keeping busy.
michal looks gassed!
Knox landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Knox is looking to advance position but michal won't allow it.
Knox lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
michal is looking to improve his position.

Knox gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
michal gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Knox.
That has opened up przemas michal's cut even more.
Knox connects with a jab.
Tommy Knox is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
michal looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The cut above przemas michal's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Knox circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! michal drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Knox follows michal to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
