This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Salvador tries to score a power double leg takedown but Heydrich sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvador somewhat. Heydrich changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvador is trying to control Heydrich's posture but Heydrich avoids it. Salvador might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Heydrich haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvador for as long as he can get away with. Heydrich is not going to allow Salvador to sit and survive in this position.
