This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Kari Parisyen! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Sophus Antias! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Antias rushes Parisyen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Parisyen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Antias is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Parisyen is trying to drag Antias to the mat but Antias just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Antias pulls guard effortlessly. Antias looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Parisyen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Antias has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parisyen has managed to get both his arms back between Antias's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parisyen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Antias is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parisyen defends well. Parisyen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parisyen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Parisyen tries to free his leg and advance position but Antias is retaining full guard. Antias looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
