Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Fury (ranked 2229 p4p, 2236 weight class) and Henry Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Henry Bates!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury is looking to clinch but Bates is avoiding it.
Bates now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Fury definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bates lands a nice shot that snaps Fury's head back.
Bates bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bates connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fury momentarily.

Fury moves into the clinch.

Bates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bates scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fury wants to clinch up but Bates keeps it at a distance.
Fury takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bates is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bates scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bates ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Fury tries to clinch but Bates moves out of range.
Bates comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fury gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fury wants to clinch up but Bates keeps it at a distance.

Bates doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bates tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bates misses with some punches.
Bates misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fury tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bates tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bates.
Fury tries to pull guard but Bates forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Bates has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fury working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bates doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Fury is tightening it up a little... Bates has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bates reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bates taps out! Nice BJJ there by Fury!
