Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Read (ranked 1624 p4p, 1714 weight class) and Meinrad Apfelbaum (ranked 255 p4p, 272 weight class). Leonard Read has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leonard Read! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Meinrad Apfelbaum! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apfelbaum takes a swing at Read's ribcage but misses. Read takes a shot right to the bread basket. Read darts in and clinches Apfelbaum up against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Apfelbaum misses with a punch on the inside.

Read definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Apfelbaum prevents the takedown attempt.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Read. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Read. Read gets a trip takedown into half guard. Apfelbaum looking for submissions off his back. Read prevents Apfelbaum from improving his position. Apfelbaum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Read. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Read is pressing down on Apfelbaum's thigh, looking to free his foot. Apfelbaum is holding on for now. Read is working for a submission of some sort.
Read will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Read prevents Apfelbaum from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Apfelbaum tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Read has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Read wants to take Apfelbaum's back here but Apfelbaum is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Read is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Apfelbaum is surviving well by controlling Read's body position as best he can. Apfelbaum looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Read looking to control and managing it successfully. Read tries to control but Apfelbaum wriggling away. Read has hold of Apfelbaum's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Apfelbaum manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Apfelbaum tries to hold on but Read postures up. Read wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Read working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Read looking to control but Apfelbaum is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Read content just to control the position here. Read takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Read is riding his opponent, not letting Apfelbaum buck him off. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Apfelbaum is trying to break free.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Apfelbaum is trying to defend against the choke here but Read has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Read Tightens the hold and Apfelbaum taps out furiously! Read displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
