The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dufort misses with a straight right.
Dufort definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vera throws a series of punches but Dufort avoids them all with ease.
Dufort is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Dufort misses with a hook.
Vera defending well as Dufort loads up on a big left hand.
Dufort jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Vera forces Dufort back against the cage and clinches.
Dufort working hard to break the clinch.
Vera scores with a shoulder strike.
Dufort is trying to break free.

Dufort breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dufort misses with an uppercut.
Vera shapes to counter with a head kick.
A nice combination there by Vera .
Vera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dufort avoids it really well and circles away.
Dufort really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Vera takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vera tries to bum rush Dufort with a series of wild strikes but Dufort uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dufort is looking to counter punch.
Vera swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Dufort counters with a nice uppercut.
Dufort misses with a looping right.
Dufort blocks a head kick by Vera .

Vera closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dufort did well to prevent Vera getting side control.

Vera seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Vera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dufort tries to get to full guard but Vera has control of the leg.
