The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Standup closes this distance looking for a takedown but Slaerop circles away.
Standup dives in and grabs Slaerop's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slaerop pushes down on Standup's head and hops out.
Standup shoots in looking for a takedown. Slaerop tries to sprawl out of it but Standup keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slaerop manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

All Standup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Standup gets caught flat footed, as Slaerop shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Slaerop ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Standup. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Slaerop turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Slaerop manages to end up in side control.

Slaerop shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Slaerop showed some decent athleticism there.

All Standup has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Nice uppercut lands for Slaerop. That snapped Standup's head back.

Slaerop stalks Standup and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Standup's face. Standup staggers backwards, shaken.

Slaerop will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Standup up against the cage.

Well Slaerop has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
