Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tysus Jones (ranked 5501 p4p, 6113 weight class) and Kaimana Kamalani (ranked 515 p4p, 534 weight class). Tysus Jones is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tysus Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kaimana Kamalani! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamalani slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones goes for a double leg but Kamalani avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kamalani continues to drive forward. Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kamalani breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Kamalani. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tysus Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kamalani closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kamalani goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.

We've been informed that Kamalani has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kamalani fails with a takedown attempt. Kamalani closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kamalani drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kamalani tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kamalani lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Kamalani. Kamalani shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones stalks Kamalani and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kamalani's face. Kamalani staggers backwards, shaken. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kamalani. Jones tries for a takedown but Kamalani circles away easily and Kamalani counters with a nice body kick. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Kamalani, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones tries to clinch there but Kamalani circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Kamalani counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kamalani darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Kamalani into the cage. It looked like Jones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kamalani. Kamalani walks into a straight right hand from Jones. Kamalani circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones tries to keep at a distance but Kamalani has taken the fight into the clinch. Kamalani has Jones pushed against the cage. Kamalani escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kamalani is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones is trying to break free. Jones tries to break the clinch but Kamalani is controlling the position. Kamalani breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kamalani fails with a takedown attempt. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. No luck for Kamalani with that takedown attempt. Kamalani has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

Jones seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Tysus Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing. Jones let out a lung full of air as it connected. Kamalani unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jones lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Kamalani is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jones is defending well. Kamalani lands a shot to the body. Kamalani's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kamalani fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Kamalani throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kamalani off to one side. Kaimana Kamalani seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kamalani tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kamalani shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Kamalani keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kamalani moves out of range of the body kick. Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Kamalani gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones tries to pull guard but Kamalani forces him back to his feet, against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kamalani with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Kaimana Kamalani showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! A nice leg kick from Kamalani, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kamalani shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Kamalani fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. Come on Kamalani - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Jones to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Kamalani pushing down on Jones's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kamalani thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tysus Jones. I think Kamalani has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
