Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lawrence (ranked 3965 p4p, 3220 weight class) and Givaldo Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Lawrence!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Givaldo Torres!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres darts in and clinches Lawrence up against the cage.
Torres tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lawrence can't break the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Torres as the two fighters clinch.
Lawrence wants to break free but Torres has control.
Torres lands with a left to the head.
Torres lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lawrence backwards.
Torres throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lawrence looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Torres looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lawrence blocks a body shot from Torres.
Torres prevents Lawrence from breaking the clinch.
Lawrence pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Torres moves into the clinch.

Torres misses with a short punch on the inside.

Torres tries a body shot but Lawrence blocks it.

Torres rushes Lawrence and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Torres has Lawrence pressed against the cage, preventing Lawrence from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Torres pulls guard effortlessly.
Lawrence avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Torres is working an open guard so Lawrence takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Torres instigates a clinch.
Lawrence manages to break the clinch.
Torres takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lawrence looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lawrence lands a big head kick that sends Torres tumbling to the mat! Lawrence takes a step backwards and waves Torres back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Torres is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Torres gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Torres is still on wobbly legs! Can Lawrence finish him?
Torres cracks Lawrence with a nice body shot.
Torres seems to have recovered his senses.
Torres prevents Lawrence from breaking the clinch.
Torres wants a takedown.
Lawrence pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Torres lunges at Lawrence with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lawrence's hand.
Lawrence misses with a few strikes there.
Lawrence lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Lawrence tries a head kick but it misses.
Torres is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lawrence throws a looping overhand right but Torres ducks down to avoid it.
Lawrence turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lawrence misses with a wild combination.
Torres closes the distance and pushes Lawrence back into the cage.
Lawrence is trying to push Torres away but Torres has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lawrence is trying to break the clinch but Torres has him pressed against the cage.
Lawrence wants to break free but Torres has control.

Torres has Lawrence pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lawrence manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Johnny Lawrence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Givaldo Torres.

Lawrence gets tackled into the cage by Torres. Torres maintains the clinch.
Lawrence breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Torres swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lawrence thumps Torres with a low kick.
Torres rushes Lawrence and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Torres lands a nice shot to the body.
Torres lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Torres.
Torres pulls Lawrence into guard.
Torres looking for a triangle here. Lawrence is fighting it but it looks tight! Torres pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lawrence is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Givaldo Torres!
A relieved looking Givaldo Torres thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
