Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PeeWee Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. PeeWees Playhouse theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! PeeWee Herman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astra feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Herman is trying to control the position but Astra postures up.
Astra makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Astra postures up in Herman's guard and throws a big left but Herman blocks it.
Astra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Herman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Astra counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Herman rushes Astra and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Herman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Astra smiles and moves away.

Astra is nestled in close to Herman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Herman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Astra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Astra cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Herman is desperately trying to improve his position but Astra has a good base and remains in mount.

BOOM! Astra connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Astra has control of Herman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Herman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Amadeus Astra showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Astra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
