The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hughes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hughes scores with a punch to the head.

Hughes scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mmm moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Mmm is rocked!
Hughes connects with a body shot.
Mmm takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mmm fails with the takedown
and Hughes counters with a nice uppercut.
Mmm is still on wobbly legs! Can Hughes finish him?
Sirus Hughes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mmm takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mmm seems to have recovered his senses.
Hughes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mmm manages to avoid it.
Mmm flicks out a counter leg kick but Hughes steps away.
Hughes cracks Mmm with an open hand slap.
Hughes lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mmm blocks a head kick by Hughes.
Sirus Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mmm tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hughes swivels and escapes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hughes scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hughes throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Hughes drops Mmm with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mmm looks back up at him and smiles so Hughes waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Mmm Mmm has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mmm walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Mmm limp body while Hughes jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
