The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Christ instigates a clinch. Christ jumps guard but Haelfson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Haelfson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Christ is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Christ has Haelfson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Haelfson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Haelfson is trying to drag Christ to the mat but Christ just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
