The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lucan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lucan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've been hearing that Lucan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Scott has his foot on Lucan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lucan works his way back into a safe position though.
Scott is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lucan frees his head nicely. Oh but Scott has switched to an armbar! Lucan is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
