Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Riley Kerestes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jus Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Money has chosen Who Let The Dogs Out as his entrance music. The key to victory for Riley Kerestes has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Kerestes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jus Money!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Money gets the takedown into side control.

Money tries for a kimura but Kerestes is defending well.

Money tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Money has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
What's Kerestes going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Money wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kerestes, who protects the arm well.
Kerestes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Money wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kerestes wants to get back to his feet but Money drags him back down.

Money tries for a kimura but Kerestes is defending well.

Money is trying to get an arm triangle but Kerestes is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerestes tries to buck Money off but Money is having none of it.
Kerestes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kerestes manages to work his way to half guard, despite Money's best efforts.
Kerestes is trying to maintain the position but Money is very close to passing his half guard.

Money looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Money looks gassed!

Money is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kerestes defends it well.
Kerestes wants to control but Money is keeping busy.
Money is pressing down on Kerestes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kerestes is holding on for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kerestes wants to improve his position but Money is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Money shoots in looking for a takedown. Kerestes tries to sprawl out of it but Money keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kerestes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Money drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kerestes wants to stand up but Money is controlling him.
Money postures up.

Money drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kerestes dives on top into guard.
Kerestes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Money is keeping the position for now.
Kerestes trying to control but Money is working from the bottom.
Kerestes wants to pass the guard but Money is keeping the position.
Kerestes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Money throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Money has his foot on Kerestes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kerestes works his way back into a safe position though.
Kerestes forces his way into half guard.
Kerestes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Money looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kerestes is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Money tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kerestes stands up from mount. Strange move.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Money changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerestes tries to avoid it but Money manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerestes to the ground. Kerestes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kerestes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Money moves out of range of the strikes.
Money tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kerestes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Money somewhat.
Riley Kerestes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jus Money.
Money on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kerestes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Money sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Money changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerestes tries to avoid it but Money manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerestes to the ground. Kerestes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kerestes lands a lovely overhand right.
Kerestes lunges at Money with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Money's hand.
Money moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Money bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kerestes throws a right and a left that Money avoids nicely.
Kerestes throws a looping overhand right but Money ducks down to avoid it.
Money shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kerestes sprawls well. Kerestes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Money gets slowly back to his feet.
Kerestes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Money shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kerestes defends it nicely.
Money doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley Kerestes dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

No joy there for Kerestes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Money fails with a takedown attempt.
Money looks for a takedown but Kerestes sprawls well.
Kerestes scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kerestes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Money sees it coming and avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Money.
Riley Kerestes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jus Money.
Kerestes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Money fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kerestes feints and then cracks Money's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Money down.
Money is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kerestes throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kerestes cracks Money with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kerestes throws a jab when Money was well out of range.
Money shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kerestes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Money on the side of the head.
Kerestes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Money tries for a takedown but Kerestes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kerestes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Money shoots for a double leg takedown but Kerestes sprawls well. He's pushed Money's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerestes scores with a one two! Money had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kerestes waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Money.
A lazy left from Kerestes finds it's target.
Money shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kerestes pinned against the cage. Kerestes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kerestes is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Money displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kerestes throws out the jab.
Kerestes misses with a head kick.

Money is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kerestes is trying to escape and Money transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kerestes is forced to tap! Nice work there by Money! Very nice indeed!
