The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louis misses with a body shot
enabling Klitschko to counter with a crisp jab.

Klitschko throws a series of strikes that have Louis backpedaling.
Louis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Klitschko manages to avoid it.
Louis looks to land a left hand but Klitschko moved out of range nicely.

Klitschko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Louis ducks right into an uppercut from Klitschko.
Klitschko connects with a good right hand that stumbles Louis. Louis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Klitschko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Louis was well out of range. Poor timing from Klitschko.
Louis catches Klitschko with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Klitschko slips a jab from Louis.
Klitschko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Louis on the side of the head.
Klitschko's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Louis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Klitschko scrambles back to his feet.
Klitschko is rocked!
Louis cracks a nice hook into Klitschko's ribs.
Louis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Klitschko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Louis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Klitschko manages to avoid it.
Louis closes the distance and catches Klitschko with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Klitschko is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Klitschko is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Klitschko is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Louis takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Joe Louis!
