The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Miyagi moves into range and clinches up with Verus.
Miyagi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Verus is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Miyagi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miyagi in particular looking to stall.

Miyagi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Verus swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miyagi stays in close to Verus's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Verus looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Miyagi is defending well. Verus quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Miyagi has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Verus celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
