And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 6 losses; Neil Nucombe! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nucombe closes the distance and clinches. Maccall wants a takedown.

Maccall tries to escape but Nucombe has the hooks in and won't let him break free. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's five minutes gone in the round. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Nucombe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Nucombe keeps control of the position as Maccall tries to break free.
Nucombe is riding his opponent, not letting Maccall buck him off. We've been informed that Nucombe has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Nucombe really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Maccall.

That's ten minutes gone in the round. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Nucombe. Nucombe controlling well, preventing Maccall from escaping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Nucombe controlling from the back. Maccall trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Nucombe is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Maccall just trying to survive but Nucombe is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. A bit of a pause in the action here. Nucombe controlling the positon.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Nucombe has the hooks in. Maccall is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Nucombe gets his hands free as Maccall looks to control. Nucombe slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
You can see the frustration on Maccall's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nucombe trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Maccall doesn't escape. Maccall is trying to break free.
