Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Mitia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Peart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dmitri Mitia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Terry Peart! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peart looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Peart shoots in but Mitia avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mitia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Peart is pressing down on Mitia's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Peart throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Peart working for a triangle but Mitia defends it easily.
Peart pulls Mitia in close to prevent any damage. Mitia wanted to stand there but Peart had control of the position. Peart is looking to stand up but Mitia isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peart looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Peart looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mitia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Peart fails in his attempt to clinch. Peart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mitia counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Peart has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mitia is working away from the top position though. Peart tries to get to full guard but Mitia has control of the leg. Mitia sitting and controlling from the half guard. Peart is trying to maintain the position but Mitia is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peart actively working from the bottom here. Peart looks gassed! Peart is staying active underneath Mitia, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mitia thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Peart's head. Peart is trying to stand up here but Mitia is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mitia looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Peart! Mitia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Peart holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mitia tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peart wants to hold on but Mitia pushes him away. Mitia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Peart is desperately trying to improve his position but Mitia has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peart is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mitia throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Peart tries to get back to half guard but can't. Peart wants to control but Mitia is having none of it. Peart tries to reverse the position but Mitia maintains control. Mitia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mitia wants to control the pace but Peart is squirming around nicely. Peart is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitri Mitia dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Peart circles away from the clinch attempt.
Peart clinches but Mitia breaks the clinch and Mitia counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Peart is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Peart trying to control but Mitia postures up.

Peart wants to sweep but Mitia has passed to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Peart is looking for a sweep. Mitia swings around for an armbar but Peart sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mitia's guard. Peart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Peart stands and steps away. Mitia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mitia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mitia seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peart does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Peart punching from the bottom.
Peart wants to control but Mitia is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peart is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mitia pulls his head out easily. Peart trying to control from the bottom.
Mitia takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. It looks like Mitia is going to stand back up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mitia wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Peart has his takedown stuffed and Mitia holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Peart tries to score a body lock takedown but Mitia shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitia gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Peart.
Dmitri Mitia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Peart. Mitia pulls guard. Mitia manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mitia lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Mitia scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mitia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Peart punching from the bottom.

Mitia wants to advance to full mount but Peart doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Peart trying to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Peart misses with a takedown and Mitia counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Peart! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitri Mitia dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Mitia fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Peart is out of range. Mitia looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Dmitri Mitia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Peart wants to get back to his feet but Mitia is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Peart keeping moving, preventing Mitia from controlling successfully. Mitia showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Peart looking for a guillotine here but Mitia defends easily.

Mitia loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mitia slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Peart trying to control the position.
Peart escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mitia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mitia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mitia fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peart sprawls well initially but Mitia persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mitia trying to control the action but Peart is working from the bottom. Well, if Mitia is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Peart is looking to control Mitia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Peart avoid being mounted? Mitia not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mitia thows a huge punch but Peart dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Dmitri Mitia showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mitia has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
