Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Dubois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dubois's choice of entrance music: Attitude from Sepultura. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enrique Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Christopher Dubois!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morales looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dubois looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Morales is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dubois doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Morales.

Morales wants to work for an arm triangle but Dubois is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Morales is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Dubois has managed to free his arm - good work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dubois looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Morales!

Dubois jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Morales is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Morales and Dubois has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Morales is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dubois is defending well though. Morales let's go of the attempt for now.

Morales drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Morales is looking to take a break and control but Dubois is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dubois pushes Morales away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Morales gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Morales passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dubois!

Enrique Morales overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dubois is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Morales has his foot on Dubois's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dubois works his way back into a safe position though.

Morales makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Morales.

Morales is trying to control the position but Dubois postures up.

Dubois drops back looking for a leg! Morales is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morales manages to kick Dubois off! Dubois jumps back into Morales's guard.

Dubois drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Morales manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dubois has Morales in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dubois bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Morales's guard.
Dubois wants to control from the top but Morales keeps moving.

Morales pushes Dubois off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Morales shoots in and bounces Dubois off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Morales drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morales jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Morales's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Morales shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dubois has hold of one of Morales's legs. Morales is fighting the takedown attempt but Dubois gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Dubois avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Morales had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dubois is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Morales Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dubois's back instead.

Dubois rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Morales is trying to control the action in half guard but Dubois is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Morales has hold of Dubois's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dubois manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Morales wants to finish this one by submission but Dubois is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Morales.

Morales goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dubois turns into him and now he's in Morales's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dubois accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dubois thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Morales escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dubois gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dubois is looking to work some ground and pound but Morales has wrist control.

Morales is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Morales isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dubois stacks Morales on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dubois!

Dubois has an Americana. Morales didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dubois is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dubois hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
