Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mr Zero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McCoy! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCoy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Zero definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Zero tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCoy was well out of range. Poor timing from Zero. Despite the aggression on McCoy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Zero connects with a jab. McCoy wants to clinch up but Zero keeps it at a distance. McCoy misses with a straight left. Zero was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Zero fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops McCoy to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! McCoy looks to clinch but Zero throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! McCoy taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Mr Zero! A less than humble Mr Zero misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
