Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drake Frost (ranked 1647 p4p, 1969 weight class) and Jaxon Aceves (ranked 199 p4p, 233 weight class). Jaxon Aceves is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Drake Frost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jaxon Aceves! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frost is looking to clinch. Nice cross by Aceves.
It looks like Drake Frost has been cut. Frost tries to close the distance and clinch but Aceves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Aceves swats away the attempt to clinch by Frost. Drake Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Frost tries to clinch there but Aceves circles away.
Frost is looking to take this fight into the clinch. It seemed like Aceves was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Frost tries to clinch but Aceves is having none of it. Frost moves into the clinch successfully.
Aceves lands with a right to the head. Aceves misses with a punch to the body.
Frost makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Aceves tries to throw a body punch but Frost avoids it by throwing Aceves back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost misses with a hook from the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Frost creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Frost can't find room to land a body shot as Aceves controls the action.

Frost scores with a shoulder strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Aceves. Frost has a couple of punches blocked by Aceves.
Aceves lands on the inside with an uppercut. Frost misses with a short punch on the inside. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Frost. Aceves escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aceves smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Aceves throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Frost's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Aceves dives in looking to finish as Frost flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Aceves's strikes! Aceves is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Frost's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Frost was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
