Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond The Finish!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate has managed to clinch.
The Finish is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tate is just too persistent for him and manages to trip The Finish to the mat. The Finish regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Tate working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The Finish is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Tate thows a big elbow that misses.
Tate wants to pass the guard but The Finish is keeping the position.
The Finish not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tate wants to get up but he can't break The Finish's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The Finish keeping full guard, as Tate tries to pass.
Tate throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The Finish connects with a high kick.
Tate tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but The Finish was well out of range. Poor timing from Tate.
Tate thows a body shot but no joy.
Tate shoots in and drives through. The Finish sprawls well.
The Finish wants to clinch
and Tate counters with a shoot takedown. The Finish fights it but they end up in guard.
The Finish had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tate is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. The Finish Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tate's back instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tate has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
You can see the frustration on Tate's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Tate is breathing heavily.
The Finish sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Tate taps out!
