Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Duggan (ranked 6182 p4p, 25137 weight class) and Lorenzo Montebianco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Duggan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lorenzo Montebianco! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montebianco slips under a jab. Montebianco throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Montebianco is looking to clinch but Duggan is avoiding it.
Duggan takes a swing at Montebianco's ribcage but misses. Some wild striking there from Montebianco.
Montebianco shoots for a takedown but Duggan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Duggan avoids the body shot from Montebianco.

and Duggan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Montebianco taking some punishment here, with Duggan in his half guard. Montebianco gets back to full guard.
Duggan scoring with some ground and pound. Duggan working some strikes from top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duggan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Duggan with a flurry of punches that miss. Duggan postures up and lands a big shot to Montebianco's brow. Duggan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Duggan chips away with some ground and pound. Duggan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Montebianco is rocked! Duggan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Duggan throws an elbow that misses. Montebianco uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Duggan's guard. Nice move by Montebianco!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duggan looking for a sweep. Not yet Duggan, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duggan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Duggan tries to get out of the position. Montebianco is fighting to break Duggan's control of his arms but Duggan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Duggan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Duggan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Montebianco looking to sit in guard and control but Duggan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Duggan is stalling in the full guard. Duggan landing with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Duggan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Duggan throws a strike but Montebianco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Duggan has Montebianco pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Duggan continues to stall. Duggan looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's four minutes gone in the round. More hug and hope from Duggan. Duggan wants to sweep but no luck. Montebianco looking to pass the guard. Duggan wants to sweep but no luck. Duggan pulls Montebianco in to control the position. Montebianco stopping the sweep attempt from Duggan. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Montebianco wants to stand but Duggan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
James Duggan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Montebianco throws a nice looking combination but Duggan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Duggan half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Montebianco takes a swing at Duggan's ribcage but misses. Some wild striking there from Montebianco.

Montebianco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Duggan with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duggan distracts Montebianco with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Duggan working some strikes from top position. Duggan postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Montebianco covers up, he's hurt! Duggan keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Duggan and the ref steps in to end the fight! Duggan can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Duggan!
