The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Martinez.
Vendeada delivers a nice body kick.
Martinez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Vendeada. That one must have hurt.
Martinez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Vendeada misses with a leg kick
letting Martinez counter with a right hand.
Martinez throws a shot to the body.
Vendeada tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Deon Vendeada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vendeada was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Martinez lands with a big right hook that stumbles Vendeada - he's out on his feet here! Martinez follows up with another monster hook that separates Vendeada from consciousness! Vendeada falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Martinez stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
