Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Fitzpatrick (ranked 25157 p4p, 6096 weight class) and Bo Kilbee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bo Kilbee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Fitzpatrick !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bo Kilbee!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilbee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fitzpatrick looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Kilbee circles away from the clinch attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Kilbee misses.
Fitzpatrick throws a combination. Kilbee tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Kilbee rushes Fitzpatrick and presses him up against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Kilbee scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've been hearing reports that Fitzpatrick has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Kilbee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fitzpatrick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fitzpatrick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kilbee is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
It looks like Kilbee might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Kilbee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Fitzpatrick to see if he's OK.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kilbee cracks Fitzpatrick with a big elbow.
Kilbee takes a little break here. Fitzpatrick wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Let's hope that Kilbee has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kilbee fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fitzpatrick to the ground. Kilbee is now in Fitzpatrick 's guard.
Fitzpatrick is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kilbee dives into side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kilbee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fitzpatrick tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kilbee smiles and moves away.
Kilbee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fitzpatrick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kilbee somewhat.

Kilbee closes the distance and pushes Fitzpatrick back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fitzpatrick slaps away a takedown attempt from Kilbee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kilbee throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fitzpatrick .
Kilbee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fitzpatrick but Fitzpatrick pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kilbee shoots in but no luck this time.
Fitzpatrick tries to counter by clinching up but Kilbee breaks away and moves out of range.

Kilbee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fitzpatrick to the mat! Fitzpatrick manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And Kilbee tries to counter it with a takedown but Fitzpatrick pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Fitzpatrick wants to get back to striking at distance but Kilbee won't allow it.

Fitzpatrick is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kilbee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bo Kilbee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fitzpatrick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kilbee pinned against the cage. Kilbee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kilbee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kilbee wants it to stay on the feet.

Fitzpatrick is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kilbee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kilbee's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzpatrick is looking to control Kilbee but Kilbee is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Kilbee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Kilbee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
