The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nunes has closed the distance and engaged Pyle in a clinch.
Pyle looking to throw knees to the head but Nunes is blocking nicely.

Nunes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pyle shoots for a double leg takedown but Nunes sprawls well. He's pushed Pyle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pyle is looking to get to half guard.
Pyle is squirming around, avoiding Nunes's attempts to control the action.
Pyle wants to control but Nunes is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Pyle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Pyle takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nunes remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nunes postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Nunes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nunes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nunes rolls with it to try and escape but Pyle cranks on the arm and Nunes is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
