Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aljamain Sterling (ranked 2662 p4p, 1246 weight class) and Scottie Lamez (ranked 160 p4p, 82 weight class). Sterling comes to the cage accompanied by I Love. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Scottie Lamez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lamez scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sterling in his tracks.

Lamez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Sterling bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lamez's head backwards.

Sterling appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Scottie Lamez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lamez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lamez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sterling throws a body shot but no joy.
Lamez connects with a right hand. Sterling shakes it off.

Sterling drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Lamez is trying to control Sterling's posture but Sterling avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lamez tries to bench press Sterling off him but Sterling keeps the position.

Sterling is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lamez looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sterling gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lamez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sterling lets go of the hold and Lamez can pop his arm back in it's socket.
