Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Space Herpes (ranked 3132 p4p, 3607 weight class) and Mordor Mettovaara (ranked 476 p4p, 522 weight class). Herpes comes to the cage accompanied by Herpes Two. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herpes gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mettovaara.
Herpes looks to throw the jab but Mettovaara is out of range.
Mettovaara lands with a slapping head kick.
Herpes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mettovaara counters with a nice body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mettovaara.
Mordor Mettovaara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Herpes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mettovaara moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mettovaara lands the left hand.
Mettovaara throws a leg kick which misses Herpes's front leg but catches the back leg as Herpes tries to avoid it.

Herpes drops his hands momentarily and Mettovaara takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

letting Mettovaara counter with a right hand.
Mettovaara scoring well with a low kick there.
Mettovaara cracks Herpes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Herpes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Herpes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Herpes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mettovaara counters with a good low kick that Herpes was not able to check.

It looked like Herpes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Herpes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mettovaara's half guard.

Herpes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Herpes lands a nice short elbow.

Herpes is nestled in close to Mettovaara, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Herpes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mettovaara controls Herpes momentarily but Herpes frees himself.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mordor Mettovaara dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Mettovaara throws a looping overhand right but Herpes ducks down to avoid it.

Mettovaara feints and then cracks Herpes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Herpes down.
Herpes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mettovaara's hands.

Mettovaara scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Herpes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mettovaara's guard.

Herpes cracks Mettovaara with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mettovaara regains half guard.
Herpes winds up and cracks Mettovaara with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Herpes creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Mettovaara is out cold and this one is all over! Herpes climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
