Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Green Bastard (ranked 5095 p4p, 3985 weight class) and Derrick Ryker (ranked 496 p4p, 449 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Green Bastard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Ryker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard gets a takedown into half guard.
Bastard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bastard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bastard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ryker looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bastard passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bastard shoots in and bounces Ryker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bastard is taking a breather. Ryker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bastard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bastard fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ryker to the ground. Bastard is now in Ryker's guard.

Ryker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bastard defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's time! Bastard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Ryker is looking to clinch.
Bastard changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Ryker moves into the clinch successfully.
Bastard jumps guard and drags Ryker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bastard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Green Bastard is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bastard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
