Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grizzley Adams (ranked 2777 p4p, 2167 weight class) and Akara Kongsangchai (ranked 144 p4p, 87 weight class). Akara Kongsangchai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grizzley Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akara Kongsangchai! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kongsangchai, as that shot connected.
It looks like Grizzley Adams has been cut. Kongsangchai just misses with a punch to the body.
Adams cracks Kongsangchai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Akara Kongsangchai has been cut. Adams swats away the attempt to clinch by Kongsangchai. Kongsangchai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Adams stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Adams looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Adams is stalling in the full guard. Adams stops Kongsangchai from standing up. Adams wants to control from the top but Kongsangchai keeps moving. Adams tries to free his leg and advance position but Kongsangchai is retaining full guard. Adams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kongsangchai's head.
Kongsangchai is rocked! We've been hearing that Adams has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kongsangchai has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Adams off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kongsangchai lands a left hand that snaps the head of Adams backwards. Kongsangchai lands a nice uppercut. Adams goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kongsangchai prevents it.

Kongsangchai fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adams, pushing him back against the cage. A short left from Kongsangchai. Still in the clinch, Kongsangchai scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kongsangchai is pressed up against the cage. Adams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kongsangchai down to the mat. Kongsangchai avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kongsangchai lands a slapping body shot.
Kongsangchai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kongsangchai bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Adams's head. Kongsangchai throws a nice outside leg kick. Kongsangchai drops Adams with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Adams! Kongsangchai dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akara Kongsangchai! Akara Kongsangchai seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
