Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anton Krylov (ranked 1301 p4p, 1519 weight class) and Felipe Couture (ranked 183 p4p, 211 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anton Krylov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Felipe Couture! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krylov pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Couture swings widly with a right hand
and Krylov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Couture's guard. Krylov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Our spies down at at Elite Island Training inform us that Couture has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krylov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Couture is keeping the position for now. Krylov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krylov wants to control from the top but Couture keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krylov is fighting to break Couture's control of his arms but Couture is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Krylov trying to control but Couture is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Krylov checks a leg kick. Couture uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Krylov. Couture changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Krylov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And Couture tries to counter it with a takedown but Krylov pushes his down on his head and steps out. Krylov connects with a right hand. Couture shakes it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Couture. Couture gets caught flat footed, as Krylov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Krylov has gone for a leg lock! Couture slips out almost immediately though and dives into Krylov's guard. Couture tries to free his leg and advance position but Krylov is retaining full guard. Couture must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Couture is sitting in close to Krylov's body. Krylov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Couture is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Couture is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Krylov.
