Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brajce Jr Srbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Srbin comes to the cage accompanied by Alal Vera. Gene Mir is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Srbin rushes Mir and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Srbin breaks from the clinch.
Srbin scores with a takedown into Mir's guard. Srbin wants to get up but he can't break Mir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mir looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Srbin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground. Srbin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Srbin gets to his feet - Mir follows without any prompting. Srbin has Mir up against the cage in a clinch.
Mir has had enough of the clinch but Srbin keeps him there for the moment.

Mir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Srbin counters by moving into the clinch. Mir looks gassed! Srbin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Srbin counters with a nice body kick.
Srbin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mir's head. A decent looking body kick lands there for Srbin. Srbin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mir at a distance.
Srbin looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Srbin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mir's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Srbin gets to his feet. Mir looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Srbin feints and as Mir raises his hands in defense, Srbin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Srbin gets to his feet - Mir follows without any prompting. Mir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Srbin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Srbin stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mir shoots and misses and Srbin counters with a shoot takedown. Mir fights it but they end up in guard. Mir trying to keep a closed guard but Srbin is proving a slippery customer.
Mir has his foot on Srbin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Srbin works his way back into a safe position though. Srbin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Srbin stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Srbin counters with a takedown into side control. Srbin stands up. Srbin moves into the clinch. Mir drops down looking for an ankle pick but Srbin pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Srbin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Srbin's back! Mir is looking for the choke from the back position but Srbin is controlling his hands well. This has been an exciting period of action! Srbin manages to stand up with Mir still on his back. Eventually Mir drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Excellent takedown into side control there by Srbin. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mir sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Srbin wants to stand up but Mir is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brajce Jr Srbin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mir fails with the takedown and Srbin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Mir wants to break free but Srbin has control.
Srbin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mir doesn't succeed with the takedown and Srbin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Srbin wants to get back to his feet.
Mir looking for submissions off his back. Srbin decides to stand and escape the position. Gene Mir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir shoots and misses and Srbin counters with a leg kick. Brajce Jr Srbin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gene Mir. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mir takes a kick to the side of the head. Mir shoots and misses and Srbin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mir's guard. Srbin wants to get up but he can't break Mir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mir is on top in guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Srbin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mir is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Srbin's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Mir makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mir. Mir looking for a guillotine here but Srbin defends easily.

Mir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Srbin is one step ahead there. Mir is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Srbin won't allow Mir to sweep him here. Mir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Srbin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Srbin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Srbin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mir's guard. Brajce Jr Srbin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mir looking for a sweep. Not yet Mir, not yet. Gene Mir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brajce Jr Srbin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Srbin gets to his feet. Mir looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
