Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ettore Gazzo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leornardo St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gazzo has managed to clinch.
Gazzo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gazzo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. St Pierre keeping moving, preventing Gazzo from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gazzo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gazzo wants to pass the guard but St Pierre is keeping the position. St Pierre is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre tries to land a sweep but no joy. St Pierre is striking off his back. Gazzo thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Gazzo prevents St Pierre from improving his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. St Pierre tries for a takedown but Gazzo circles away easily and Gazzo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in St Pierre's guard. St Pierre is wriggling around but Gazzo manages to pass to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gazzo decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt and Gazzo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. St Pierre gets underhooks to prevent Gazzo's takedown attempt.
Gazzo jumps guard but St Pierre stands there with Gazzo around his waist. Gazzo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. St Pierre trying to hold on to Gazzo's head to control him but Gazzo postures up.

Gazzo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

St Pierre sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Gazzo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gazzo tries to close the distance and clinch but St Pierre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. St Pierre gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gazzo counters with a single leg into guard. St Pierre didn't expect that. St Pierre throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. St Pierre is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gazzo pulls his head out easily. Gazzo seems to be working for a kimura but St Pierre defends the submission attempt. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gazzo lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gazzo performing his best blanket impression for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ettore Gazzo dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Gazzo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ettore Gazzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. St Pierre avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gazzo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gazzo swats away the attempt to clinch by St Pierre. Both fighters are breathing heavily. St Pierre doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gazzo counters with a nice double leg into side control. St Pierre won't be happy with that. You can see the frustration on St Pierre's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ettore Gazzo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gazzo working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Gazzo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but St Pierre is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gazzo tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Gazzo laying and praying for a moment but St Pierre takes advantage and regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. St Pierre gets full guard. St Pierre wants to sweep here but Gazzo controlling him for the moment. St Pierre working a defensive guard here.
