Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Marlow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lee Larson!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larson is looking to clinch.
Marlow misses with the body kick
and Larson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like James Marlow has been cut.
Marlow shoots in for a takedown but Larson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice jab there from Larson.
Larson connects with the punch.
Nice defenses there by Larson.
Marlow throws a right and a left that both miss.
Marlow falls off balance throwing a combination
and Larson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Larson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Marlow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Larson scores with a hook.
Marlow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Larson as he jumps to the side.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larson lands a head shot.
Marlow takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Marlow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Larson's guard.

Larson trying to keep a closed guard but Marlow is proving a slippery customer.
Marlow trying to stand up but can't free himself from Larson's guard.
Larson pulls Marlow in close to prevent any damage.
Marlow preventing the sweep.
Marlow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Larson controls Marlow momentarily but Marlow frees himself.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Marlow in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Larson clinches up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Larson.
Larson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Marlow or not.

Marlow decides to pull guard.
Larson wants to control from the top but Marlow keeps moving.
Marlow on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marlow tries to get out of the position.
Larson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Marlow haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Marlow has a closed guard, preventing Larson from standing up.
Larson trying to control but Marlow is working from the bottom.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Larson looking to pass the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Marlow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Larson avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Marlow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marlow is breathing heavily.
Marlow throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice straight punches there by Larson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Larson.
Larson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Larson throws a good cross that connects.

Larson closes the distance and clinches.
Larson scores with a shot to the side of Marlow's head.
Marlow takes an elbow to the temple.
Larson digs a right hand underneath Marlow's ribcage. Marlow let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Marlow fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Marlow is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Larson to keep the fight standing.
Larson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Larson stops a takedown attempt from Marlow.
Larson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larson working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Larson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Larson lands an elbow inside.
Marlow takes a shot to the head.
Larson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Larson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Larson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on James Marlow's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Larson tries to clinch there but Marlow circles away.
Larson with a nice cross.
Larson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Larson tries to clinch but Marlow is having none of it.
Larson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

James Marlow's cut is getting worse.
Larson works the jab nicely.

Marlow is rocked!
Larson punishes Marlow's body with a nice straight punch.
Larson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Marlow misses with a takedown
and Larson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oh Marlow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marlow with a lazy takedown attempt
and Larson counters with a crisp right that sends Marlow to the canvas! Larson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
