Traynor's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. Robbie Mullen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Traynor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Mullen!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mullen tries to close the distance and clinch but Traynor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mullen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mullen misses with a series of wild punches.
Mullen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Traynor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Traynor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mullen on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Robbie Mullen has been cut.
Mullen's coach down at Dillo's Deadly Dojo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mullen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Traynor swats away the attempt to clinch by Mullen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mullen wants to clinch but Traynor slips to the side
and Traynor counters with a three punch combo that has Mullen backing up. Mullen nods at Traynor to acknowledge the strikes.

Traynor is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mullen.
Mullen closes the distance looking to clinch
and Traynor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've been told by Traynor's head coaches at Rough House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Mullen darts in trying to clinch
and Traynor counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mullen thinking.
Mullen wants to clinch.

Mullen clinches up with Traynor and pushes him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Traynor misses with a body punch.
Traynor scores with a shot to the side of Mullen's head.
Traynor prevents Mullen from breaking the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Mullen.
Mullen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Traynor scores with a hook to the body.
A right hand to the body from Traynor.
Traynor tries a body shot but Mullen blocks it.
Mullen working hard to break the clinch.

Traynor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Traynor circles away from the clinch attempt.
Traynor is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mullen.
Traynor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mullen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mullen throws a hook to the side of Traynor's head but Traynor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mullen tries to clinch
and Traynor counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Traynor has closed the distance and engaged Mullen in a clinch.
Traynor tries to work over Mullen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mullen.
Mullen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Mullen breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice shot by Traynor.
Traynor lands with a nice body punch.
Mullen walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Traynor! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charles Traynor!
After winning the bout, Charles Traynor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
