The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathys tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lavrenti was well out of range. Poor timing from Mathys.
Mathys slips under a jab from Lavrenti.
Mathys throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lavrenti throws a body punch but Mathys moves out of range.
Mathys lands with a good body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mathys. Lavrenti does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lavrenti throws a right hand that misses
and Mathys counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lavrenti keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A punch lands to the side of Lavrenti 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Gocha Lavrenti has been cut.
Lavrenti will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A jab from Lavrenti misses.
Mathys tries to clinch there but Lavrenti circles away.
Lavrenti drops Mathys with a big left hand! Mathys is injured, injured bad! Lavrenti jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
