Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 2523 p4p, 3607 weight class) and Old Henry (ranked 379 p4p, 505 weight class). Old Henry has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jon Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Old Henry!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry misses with a wild body shot.
Jones wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Henry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Henry. Henry gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones misses with a kick to the body.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Sloppy strikes from Henry. Those never looked like landing.
And Jones counters with a quick kick to the body but Henry blocks it.
Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Henry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Some bone on bone action there as Henry checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Henry tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Henry is controlling Jones's trapped leg to prevent Jones from advancing to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Henry's head.

Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Henry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Henry defends the submission attempt.
Henry is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Henry wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Henry's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henry keeps working.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henry is not content to let Jones control the position.

Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Henry.
Jones is looking to advance position but Henry won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Henry can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jones is nestled in close to Henry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones uses his free foot to push down on Henry's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Henry.
Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Henry is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Henry has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Jones lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
