Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evgeni Klitchkev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evgeni Klitchkev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Evgeni Klitchkev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klitchkev closes the distance and clinches up with Emelianenko, looking for a takedown. Klitchkev pushes Emelianenko against the cage but Emelianenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Klitchkev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Emelianenko won't be happy with that.

Klitchkev is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Emelianenko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Emelianenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Klitchkev swings around for an armbar but Emelianenko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Klitchkev's guard.

Klitchkev can't control as he wanted to and Emelianenko manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Klitchkev is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Emelianenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Klitchkev.

Klitchkev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Klitchkev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Klitchkev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Emelianenko manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Klitchkev has Emelianenko in his guard.

Klitchkev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Klitchkev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Emelianenko regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Klitchkev.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Klitchkev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
