Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Allan (ranked 4665 p4p, 4743 weight class) and Mark Paul (ranked 476 p4p, 478 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Allan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Paul! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Allan throws a big counter combination but Paul scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Allan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Paul.
Allan throws a body shot but no joy. Allan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Paul. Paul tries to close the distance and clinch up but Allan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Paul has taken the fight to the clinch.

Paul has gone for a leg lock! Allan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Paul's guard. Paul is pulling down on Allan's head. It's preventing any offense from Allan, at least for the moment. Allan stopping the sweep attempt from Paul.

Paul shoots and misses and Allan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Paul throws a front kick that sends Allan stumbling back into the cage. Paul gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Allan counter with a right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Allan leaves Paul with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A counter left hand to the body from Allan misses its target. He's persisting with it as Allan sprawls well. Allan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paul gets slowly back to his feet. Allan throwing a counter right hand but Paul manages to avoid it. Paul fails to land the takedown. Allan gets tackled into the cage by Paul. Paul maintains the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Paul takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Allan dodges an elbow strike from Paul.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paul fails to pull guard.
Allan working hard to break the clinch. Allan presses Paul against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Paul manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Paul throws a lazy head kick and Allan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Paul fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Paul slaps away a takedown attempt from Allan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Paul slips a jab and a cross from Allan.
A head kick by Paul misses and Allan counters with a left to the body. Mark Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paul tries a head kick but it misses.
Paul is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Paul has taken the fight to the clinch.
Allan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Paul has him pressed against the cage. Paul escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Allan will probably get the nod. That's time! Allan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Paul throws a series of punches but Allan avoids them all with ease. Allan misses with a double jab.

Paul closes the distance and clinches up with Allan, looking for a takedown. Paul pushes Allan against the cage but Allan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Paul tries to clinch but fails miserably and Allan counters with a three punch combo that has Paul backing up. Paul nods at Allan to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allan throws a leg kick but Paul sees it coming and moves out of range. Paul feints and then cracks Allan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Allan down. Paul fails with an attempt to clinch.
Paul has a takedown stuffed. Chris Allan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Paul. Allan stalks Paul and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Paul's face. Paul staggers backwards, shaken. Allan is looking to wear down Paul with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Allan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Paul fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Allan avoids it really well and circles away. Paul takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paul shoots and misses and Allan counters with a left and a right that stings Paul. Allan connects with a nice looking jab.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Paul misses with a body shot.

Paul takes one to the chin there.
Paul is rocked! Allan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Paul is still on wobbly legs! Can Allan finish him? Allan feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Paul crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
