The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Kanne explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Kanne misses with a looping right.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kanne, pushing him back against the cage.

Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Kanne to the mat.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kanne wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kanne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kanne on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A head kick from Jackson lands but Kanne takes it in his stride.

It looks like Temos Kanne has been cut.

Jackson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kanne to the ground. Jackson is now in Kanne's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Kaboom Jackson will probably get the nod.
