The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trevena throws a jab when Smit was well out of range.
Smit shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trevena sprawls well. Trevena wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smit gets slowly back to his feet.
Trevena checks a leg kick.
Smit shoots for a takedown but Trevena saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Trevena misses with a looping right.
Smit steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Trevena.
Trevena throws out a loose jab but Smit uses good head movement to avoid it.

Smit gets a double leg takedown into Trevena's guard.

Smit is posturing up here but Trevena has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Smit tries to roll out but it's too tight and Smit has to tap! Slick submission there by Trevena!
