Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Zwirn (ranked 998 p4p, 1564 weight class) and Showtime Sitsongrit (ranked 145 p4p, 221 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sitsongrit's choice of entrance music: ศึกษานารี - LABANOON. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Frederick Zwirn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Showtime Sitsongrit!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sitsongrit fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zwirn sprawls well initially but Sitsongrit persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sitsongrit's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Sitsongrit is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Let's hope that Sitsongrit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Zwirn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zwirn tries to get out of the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Frederick Zwirn will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zwirn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zwirn wants it to stay on the feet.
Zwirn was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Zwirn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sitsongrit dives in and grabs Zwirn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zwirn pushes down on Sitsongrit's head and hops out.
A little feinted left hand from Zwirn on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sitsongrit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zwirn pinned against the cage. Zwirn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Zwirn won't enjoy being in this position. Sitsongrit looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Zwirn is tapping - it's over boys! Sitsongrit picks up the submission victory!
