Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Edwards (ranked 4441 p4p, 25296 weight class) and Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krzysztof Zakrzewski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zakrzewski pinned against the cage. Zakrzewski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zakrzewski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Edwards. Zakrzewski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Edwards uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown but Edwards shows good takedown defense.
Edwards has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Zakrzewski.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zakrzewski enables Edwards to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zakrzewski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Edwards sprawls well. Edwards wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zakrzewski gets slowly back to his feet.
As Zakrzewski looks to move away, Edwards throws a big counter combo but Zakrzewski just gets out of the way.
Zakrzewski leaves Edwards with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jack Edwards is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zakrzewski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Edwards has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Edwards and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
