Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Clarke (ranked 2147 p4p, 2969 weight class) and Tapp Nowe (ranked 283 p4p, 371 weight class). Clarke's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Where the Streets Have No Name - U2. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tapp Nowe enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roy Clarke!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tapp Nowe!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowe throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Clarke to counter with a crisp jab.
Nowe tries for a takedown but Clarke circles away easily
and Clarke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nowe shoots and misses
and Clarke counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nowe thinking.
Nowe takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nowe looks winded!
Nowe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Clarke counters with a right hand to the body.
Roy Clarke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tapp Nowe.
Clarke drops his shoulder and cracks Nowe with a huge uppercut! Nowe goes down! Can Clarke finish him?
It looks like Tapp Nowe has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clarke stands up and waves to Nowe to follow him.
Clarke closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Nowe! Clarke dives in looking to finish! Nowe is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roy Clarke!

Roy Clarke very nearly forgot to thank Primal amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
