Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 15 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sinere Semper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ravjeet Peitheiyan!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peitheiyan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Semper was covering up waiting for the punch and Peitheiyan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Peitheiyan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Semper preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Semper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peitheiyan on the ground.
Peitheiyan drops back looking for a leg! Semper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Semper manages to kick Peitheiyan off! Peitheiyan jumps back into Semper's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peitheiyan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like Peitheiyan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Semper is breathing heavily.

Peitheiyan shoots in and bounces Semper off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Peitheiyan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Peitheiyan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Peitheiyan cracks Semper with a big right hand but Semper just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Semper seems a little lost for a moment, as Peitheiyan dominates the positioning.
Peitheiyan connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Semper some visible discomfort.
Peitheiyan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Peitheiyan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Semper is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Peitheiyan yanks on the arm and Semper is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Peitheiyan.
