Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tmas Panzy (ranked 3994 p4p, 4133 weight class) and Derrick Ryker (ranked 452 p4p, 459 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tmas Panzy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Ryker!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Panzy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ryker has closed the distance and engaged Panzy in a clinch.

Ryker manages to pull guard.

Ryker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Panzy wants to pass the guard but Ryker is keeping the position.

Ryker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Panzy engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Panzy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Panzy passes Ryker's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Ryker tries to roll over but Panzy keeps him under control.

Panzy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Panzy wants to take a breather but Ryker is having none of it.
Panzy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Panzy trying to control the action but Ryker is working from the bottom.

Ryker looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ryker is trying to get back to full guard.

Panzy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ryker sees it coming and defends easily.
Panzy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Panzy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ryker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Panzy controlling the position easily from mount.

Panzy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Panzy looking to control but Ryker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ryker is looking to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ryker tries to lock up and control but Panzy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Panzy mounts Ryker! Really nice guard pass there!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Ryker fails in his attempt to clinch.

Panzy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ryker quickly recovers to half guard.
Ryker wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panzy trying to control the pace.

Ryker keeping moving, preventing Panzy from controlling successfully.

Panzy is really struggling to control Ryker but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Ryker tries to buck Panzy off but Panzy is having none of it.
Ryker manages to get back to half guard.
Panzy is keen to just control but Ryker is a slippery customer.
Ryker gets back to full guard.

Ryker has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Panzy doesn't defend quickly enough and Ryker has managed to lock this one up! Can Panzy escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Ryker on a fantastic submission victory.
