Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Macka Briggs (ranked 752 p4p, 1228 weight class) and Leonard Nimoy (ranked 113 p4p, 188 weight class). Briggs comes into the arena with Stepping Razor by Peter Tosh blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Leonard Nimoy has been cut.

Briggs throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nimoy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Nimoy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Briggs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Macka Briggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Nimoy.

Briggs shoots in and gets a takedown into Nimoy's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nimoy wants to get back to his feet but Briggs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Briggs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nimoy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Briggs.

Nimoy missing with a left hand there. Briggs was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Briggs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nimoy slips a straight right by Briggs.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Briggs cracks Nimoy with an uppercut from hell and Nimoy crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Briggs's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Nimoy is rocked!
Briggs arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Nimoy's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Macka Briggs!
Macka Briggs decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
